Dr. Humera Noor has about 10 years of teaching experience in the field of Computer Engineering. Her prime areas of interest include Computer Vision, Image Processing, Fuzzy Logic, Machine Learning techniques and Expert Systems. She has remained involved in teaching Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Computer Networks, Microprocessor-based System design and their applications and Programming Languages to undergraduate and graduate students.
She is recently listed in 2011 Edition of Marquis “Who’s Who in the World” as one of the world’s foremost achievers in her field.
Dr. Humera Noor did her PhD in March 2008 in Computer Systems Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan. Her majors include Computer Vision and Image Processing and most part of her research was carried out in collaboration with the Computer Vision Lab at University of Central Florida. She did her Master in Computer Engineering (specialization: Software Engineering) in 2003 from Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan with a CGPA of 3.75 (4 @ Excellent). She received her B. E. degree in 2001 in Computer Systems Engg. from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan securing third position in the department with more than 90% marks.
She has always remained a meritorious student and got Government scholarships for securing 19th and 10th positions in Matriculation and Intermediate exams of board respectively.
Even before completing her Bachelor studies, Humera was offered the post of Lecturer at her home university, at the department of Computer and Information Systems Engineering (CISE), where she worked initially as a lecturer; moving up through Assistant Professorship and lately as an Associate Professor. Due to her outstanding achievements, she has been designated as the co-chairperson at the department of CISE. Currently, Dr. Humera Noor is part of the Electronic Engg. faculty at NED University and serving the Telecommunications Engg. dept as the Co-chairperson.
